time flies. it's true.

call it an adage. or call it a theory. blame it on perception or give it any other name. doesn't change the fact that time flies. you know it, i know it. but what do we do about it? do we really live like there will be no tomorrow? does every minute count and every second matter? do you and i tell the people we love that we love them enough? do we give ourselves enough time - doing the things we love doing? is time just passing us by or are we living every moment?

it's almost the end of my first year at law school. feels like not too long ago when i walked out of school. it's over a year now. looking back at the way the year's gone, the feelings are mixed. the year has had its highs and its lows, the highs outnumbering the lows by a very high margin.and that, is one helluva feeling. what seemed like lows have turned out to be the steepest highs. this year has taught me to believe in the bigger picture. this year has strengthened my bond with the Force. this year has made dreams come true. this year has given me love. this year has given me life. most importantly, this year has given me me.

there comes a time, i think in all our lives when we are lost and feel like the pieces of our lives are scattered all over the place and all we do is struggle to find them and piece them back together. try to make some sense. the year for me started off just that way. i could find no pieces, i could see no picture. in the wild hunt for those pieces, in my hurry to see the picture, i ended up losing me. i realized the person i was was so different from who i really am. life does that to you. all the time. only to see how well you manage to hold on to the faith. just when i thought that things were slipping out of control, when i had given up being me, life had other plans. mitch albom's words at that point in time made so much sense. don't hold on too tight but don't let go too soon. some people walked out of life, or i chose to keep them away from life. some people walked in and made me me again. some people who already were part of life now began to make sense. a paradigm shift is what i had.

i'd like to name those who've made this year amazing. who've helped me grow....back into being me.
mom, dad...thank you for standing by me. i'd never be me if not for your constant supply of love. thank you for having faith in me. thank you for believing in me. i won't let you down. i love you both so much!
Rohan, i can't thank you enough! wouldn't have found me if not for you!
maasi, jee, maamu, naanima, naanu....thank you for your timely advice , your love and for being there.
Paridhi...yaar, tu nahi hoti toh.....mera pata nahi kya hota!
the guy gang - Nishant, Priyesh, Siddharth Dang - thank you for being there....to listen!
Avani di and Animesh - thank you for Oxford
Saurabh Saraogi - i don't think you realize but you left an impact when you were here. you're a fab guy! :)

these names stand out on my list....if i've missed some names, i'm sorry! but you, all of you on that list, i owe you!!! thank you so much! you've made most minutes count and you have helped me LIVE! let this year be just the start of a discovery. i hope i can give back to you a little bit of what you've given me. au revoir to the year gone by and cheers to more love, more discovery and more LIFE!
