when i think about it, the reason, season and lifetime thing makes a lot of sense. when people come along for a reason, they stay for just long enough to get you to realize why you feel the way you do..to answer your questions...to read your mind and not be judgmental. or....they come along, to do right the opposite! to help you complicate the way you feel, to put more questions in your head, to make you feel like you don't know yourself and to be judgmental. just like the feeling of emptiness and completeness all at once. reasons get clear very quickly. you learn and you move on.
seasons take a little longer. there are some people who come into life like a breath of fresh air. they bring with them colour and fragrance and something that makes you feel so good about yourself. like the spring. life begins to look more beautiful, you hear music in everything around you and feel love even when you think that love had no existence in the world. make the most of these people. they give you the feeling of being complete...and when they go away, there's that empty feeling.
some come along....who get nosy and personal, who want to know everything that goes on in your life....they are sticky and you don't really enjoy their company. they are like the summer. though they bring with them some sunshine, that shine can get a little too strong and uncomfortable sometimes. they leave you feeling neither complete, nor empty, rather......like a fool!
then there are some who come who are the nicest people ever when they want something and get horribly horrible the moment you turn around. when you begin to realize that's happening, you get cold and lonely....because they've gone around telling the whole world just how horrible you are ( of course, that's not true!) they bite....give you goosebumps and you need the spring to come back and hold you close. stay away winter!
then there are some people, who come and are gone with the wind. you just wish they'd stayed a little longer. but they come, play their role, fulfill their purpose and go away...like the orange leaves of autumn....leaving you wishing you they could be a part of your life for a little longer.
then there are a few, who come and stay. and stay a little longer. together, you find many reasons, spend a whole lot of seasons and share love, smiles and happiness....fights, tears and sorrow. they are the ones you should treasure as much as you'd treasure your life. because if He didn't send you those people who last a lifetime, you wouldn't be who you are today.
with them around too, you'd feel the way i'm feeling right now....complete and empty at the same time....but it's a feeling you'll enjoy. it's one of the many seasons you go through. if there's someone who's like the winter, spring will come along and hold you close and you'll feel all complete again. the birds will song and the love will come to you.....and never go away. :-)

ReplyDeleteAs I started reading the article, a thought bumped into my mind... Is it gonna be another boring article? But as i continued reading, I can say, itz one of the best article I have read on the issue of people in our life. The way you have linked the your topic with season is admirable. An insight to life, philosophical thought close to reality..
